Joseph died while serving in the confederate army at Camp Nelson in Arkansas.
(this info below was given to me by a great grandson of Marquis D. L. Price whose sister was Nancy W.Price Clary.
I want to thank findagrave member Charles Temple for this info.)
"My-g-grandfather was Marquis D. L. Price and Nancy W. Price Clary was his sister. Nancy did die before 1870 and Marquis and his wife Mary Francis raised the orphaned daughter Mary A. Clary until she got married in the 1870s. Mary is shown in the Price household in Henderson Co., TX in the 1870 census.
The Clarys were living in Smith County, TX when he went off to war, and I'm pretty sure Nancy was still there when she passed. I have not been able to find exactly where she was buried. However, Joseph and Nancy lived near the Prices and many of them are at rest in Dean Baptist Cemetery, which is near the Price farms of that time.

I believe the birth and death dates/photo do not belong to Nancy Clary but perhaps one of her relatives? The headstone says Jane and the description says Nancy died before 1870.

Dont know if the message is true or not but post it because the headstone says Aunt Jane and note above says Nancy died before 1870.If any one knows correct death date and if this picture is the correct headstone.
