She received bachelor's and master's degrees in teaching from American International College in Springfield. She played on the AIC women's basketball team.
She was a deaconess at the Somers Congregational Church.
She leaves two brothers, Roger and Frederick of Somers, and three nieces.
The funeral will be on Saturday afternoon at Somers Funeral Home, with burial in the North Cemetery. Calling hours are this evening.
