Mother of local woman dies in Malone, rites there. Funeral services for Mrs. Anna E. Amord, 79, of Malone who died Sunday in the Alice Hyde Hospital, were held yesterday (Wednesday) at ten o'clock in Notre Dame Church, Malone, Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery, Chateaugay.

Mrs. Amord, a former resident of Fort Covington, is the mother of Mrs. Bernard (Theresa) Rouselle of here. She had been making her home at 294 E. Main street, Malone. Her husband, the late Peter Amord, predeceased her on November 12th, 1945. The family owned and operated a farm on the Frye road just out of Fort Covington village during their residence here in the 1930s and 40s.

Mrs. Amord had been a patient in the hospital about two weeks. She was born in Chateaugay on October 14,1882, a daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth Dame Tavernia. She was a member of Notre Dame church, Malone, and its Rosary Society, and participated in church and community work actively. For over 20 years she was engaged as an agent for Stanley Home Products.

Prior to the rites the body was in repose at the St. Mary and Murphy Funeral Home at 276 East Main St., Malone.

Surviving are, two sons, Edward of Chateaugay and John Amord of Rochester; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Marie) Murphy, Westville, Mrs. Rouselle of here, Mrs. Charles (Cecilia) Tebo of Hudson N.Y., and Mrs. Merle (Bemadette) Roland of Buffalo; three grandchildren, one great grandchild and nieces and nephews.
