Clarence Clifton “Cliff” Hume, 91, of Culpeper, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

He was born May 13, 1923, in Rappahannock County to the late Clarence Clifton Hume and Annie Margaret Carder Hume.

Mr. Hume worked on the North Wales estate of Walter P. Chrysler in his early years and then worked as a deliveryman for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. In 1951, he began working as a security guard for the Warrenton Training Center, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his two daughters, Gail Hume Barb of Midland and Donna Hume Olinger of Warrenton.

His wife of 47 years, Elenora Lee Poe Hume; his second wife, Betty Hume; his son-in-law, Roger Olinger, and his siblings, William Richard Hume and Emma Catherine Butler, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Warrenton Cemetery.
