My father was adopted by Bill's mother. A sweet lady that took him in when his parents had him out-of-wedlock in 1926. Bill passed away in 1925.
My father told me my uncle Bill was a veteran and served in WWI. He was gassed twice (Phosgene and mustard gas) during war twice and survived, only to be brought home to his mother, Grace Matilda Neil. He came home from war in a vegetative state and she took care of him until his death in 1925 at the age of 27.
Bill was buried in Belvue Cemetery but re interred at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, Pa. (According to his mother's cemetery deed she was re interred on 12/3/1954. It's assumed that Bill would have been re interred around this time. He is in a different section than his mother, Grace.)
*He and his mother were re interred due to the Philco plant being built (This is what was passed down to me from my Dad.)Through my own research, it looks like the area is renamed Philadelphia Memorial Park. It looks to have been a horribly upsetting time for these families, as their loved ones may not have been moved in part or in full.

I'm unsure if Bill had a headstone at Belvue Cemetery. (Some headstones weren't treated properly) My father could not find Bill's grave after some years due to this upset with the move and it not remaining marked.

My mother and father took photos of his grave site in 1956 which I recently found. Update: As of June 2016 I found Bill's grave site(!), although unmarked. I'm working on having a headstone placed.

Update: July 17th,2017 I came across an application for a headstone or marker and his birthday is listed as March 24,1897 and date of death January 3,1925. Age 27. This form also indicates that William was a private in the 109th infantry Regt. With an enlistment date July 23rd 1917 and discharge date February 4th 1919.
