~OBITUARY~Andrew Fischer
Andrew Fischer, 894 Climer street, died at 8 o'clock this morning at Bellevue hospital where he had been confined for the last seven weeks. A complication of ailments caused his death. He was 81 years old.
He was born June 29, 1837, in Hessen, Germany and came to this country, settling in Muscatine when 25 years of age.
Shortly after, he married Mary Raugh, to which union one son was born. Three years after, his wife died.
He was again married to Mary Beard, to which union eleven children were born, seven of whom preceded him in death. The second wife preceded him in death by three years.
To survive, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ben Kurtz of Chillicothe, Mo., and Mrs. Ed. Newell of this city, and three sons, George Fischer of Rock Island and Paul and William Fischer, both of Muscatine. Two sisters, Mrs. Casper Wierhauser and Mrs. Mary Frutig, both of this city, also survive.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed pending word from out-of-town relatives.

Funeral services for Andrew Fischer, who died yesterday morning at Bellevue hospital, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. M. Newell, 1105 Orange street, the Rev. Peter Geissler of the Walnut Street Baptist church to officiate.
Brief services wil also be held at the grave.
Burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery. No headstone.

Funeral services for Andrew Fischer who died Tuesday morning at Bellevue hospital were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. M. Newell, 1105 Orange street, the Rev. Peter Geissler of the Walnut Street Baptist church officiating.
Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery. No Headstone.
The pall bearers were Ben Kurtz, Harry Olsen, Ed Newell, Paul, William and George Fischer.
