Hawthorne Willis Lathrop WW1 Veteran, enlisted Regular Army April 14, 1916. He serviced in the U.S. Army Aviation Service, 15th Aero Sq.; 46th Aero Sq.; and the 100th Aero Squadron. He was aboard the Troopship "Tuscania" when it was torpedoed by a German U-boat on the evening of Feb. 5, 1918.
