Mrs. Louise L. Carroll, 69, of 2074 Whitehall Road, active in club work and the wife of Dr. BH Carroll, died Thursday in Toledo Hospital after a short illness. Born in San Antonio, TX, Mrs. Carroll lived in Toledo 46 years.
A member of Collingwood Presbyterian Church and Collingwood Daughters, Mrs. Carroll also was active in the Women's Auxiliary of the Toledo Academy of Medicine and the Young Women's Christian Association. She was a charter member of the Ottawa Hills Garden Club.
Mrs. Carroll was graduated from Ward Belmont College, Nashville, TN, and from the American Academy of Dramatic Art, New York City.
Also surviving are her daughters, Mrs Joan Vetter of Rochester NY, and Mrs Louise Wade of Chicago; son, Charles, of New Canaan CT; sister, Mrs Frances Baetz, of San Antonio, and seven grandchildren.
The body is in the Bennett Mortuary, Secor Road. Services will be Saturday at 3pm in the mortuary, with private burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the Collingwood Presbyterian Church memorial fund.

Louise Lucas, graduated from the [American] Academy [of Dramatic Arts] on March 17, 1921. Her graduation ceremony was held at the Lyceum Theatre, and the event was covered by The New York Tribune, Evening Mail, and the Morning Telegraph. There were 24 women and 18 men in the graduating class and the keynote speaker was Frank Bacon, who was at that time starring as Bill Jones in Lightnin'.

Deceased grandchildren Barbara J. Carroll and Michael J. Carroll, children of Charles & Barbara Carroll, are buried here with their grandparents. Also deceased is great-grandson Lucas G. Wemett, son of granddaughter Susan (Vetter) Wemett (daughter of Joan Carroll Vetter) and her husband Gary Wemett.
