Janice L. Jacobson, age 63, formerly of 921 North 14th Street, Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, March 12, 2015 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on February 4, 1952 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Clarence W. and Carole E. (Haag) Boeder. Janice was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1970 and then received her Associates Degree from Lakeshore Technical College as an L.P.N. On October 13, 1973 she married Paul Jacobson at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Janice was employed with Holy Family Memorial Medical Center as an L.P.N. for 36 years, retiring in 2008. She was a past member of the Catholic Junior League and more recently with St. Francis of Assisi CEW Program. Janice kept busy making various crafts and sewing. She loved being a grandmother and was extremely proud of her 3 grandchildren and tried to spend as much time as possible with them. She was a volunteer with Manitowoc Public School District and was an avid dog lover, and had many dogs, including Mickey, Max, Hobbes and Mandy. Janice was an avid fan of Disney and Mickey Mouse and had been to Disney World in Florida a total of 6 times.

Survivors include her husband: Paul Jacobson, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law: Sarabeth and Steve Meyer, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Lucian, Eva and Reese; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Charles Boeder and special friend Jan Mayer, Oskalansa, IA, David and Marsha Boeder, Green Bay, William and Christine Boeder, Manitowoc, Mark Boeder and special friend Sandy Butchi, Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Monica and Dennis Klosinski, Mary Ellen and Roger Strzyzewski; and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Charles Jacobson and James and Marilyn Jacobson, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Carole Boeder; an infant son: Michael Jacobson; her twin brother: James Boeder; and a brother-in-law: Thomas Jacobson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 until 11:15 a.m.
