Gene was born on October 2, 1930 in Standing Stone, PA. to Wilton and Christine Harbst McCabe.

Gene served 20 years in the US Army for his country; he retired from the manufacturing industry where he worked as an assembler for the Trane Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitehouse where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Rought.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marliee Warren McCabe; daughters, Alani Work and husband Jim, Cheryl Newton and husband Tracy and Cindy Stinger and husband Ray; brother, John McCabe; and sister June Seelman; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Services for Gene Wilton McCabe 84, of Whitehouse will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Whitehouse with Tony Hays officiating.

Interment will follow in the Whitehouse City Cemetery.
