Lottie Crozier and her firstborn son Sam. Jim's mother and his older brother who died at the age of 15 years, 8 months, and 17 days. I believe he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle.

The Crozier and Grounds cowboy cousins ~ They were "double cousins"... Howard and John's mother was Sam and Jim's father's sister and their father was Sam and Jim's mother's brother.

Left to right: John C Grounds, Howard W Grounds, Samuel F Crozier, James C Crozier These cattle ranch kids were all on horses as soon as they could walk and/or stay balanced upright in the saddle.
