DEATH: CHARLES LEWIS SIMPSON

CHARLES LEWIS SIMPSON, 78, of Glenwood, W.Va., loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009, at the Sunrise United Methodist Church by Pastor Henry Clay. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. He was born July 1, 1930, in Glenwood, a son of the late Berkley and Ruby Gill Simpson. He was a member of Sunrise United Methodist Church. He retired from Huntington Alloys after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Grose and Wilma Ward. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Louise Wallace Simpson; one daughter, Darlene Kay Miller and her husband Bruce; two sons, Charles Berkley Simpson and his wife Benita, and Donald Wallace Simpson; eight grandchildren, Charles M. (Amy) Simpson, Madonna Simpson, James Todd (Treva) Bryan, Charles Scott (Marsha) Bryan, Misty (Andy) Adkins, Jennifer (Lee) Rider, Clifton Simpson, Amanda (John) Martin; 16 great-grandchildren, Nicole, C.J. and Alex Simpson, Zachary, Jared, Dawson and Josey Bryan, Kayla, Jonathon, Michael and Gabrielle Rider, Riley Simpson, Trenton Summers, John Jr., Meagan Martin and Lucas Adkins. Pallbearers will be Todd Bryan, Scott Bryan, Charlie Simpson, Mike Grose, Roy Cain and R.W. White. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.
