Carl Lee Williams, 68, of Ellettsville, died on April 21, 2004 at his residence.

Born January 3, 1936, in Lawrence County, he was the son of George Ottis and Grace (Stroud) Williams.

He was a heavy equipment operator for 35 years with Cooper Construction. He was a charter member of the Eagles Lodge #4381, and a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Williams of Ellettsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Denise Williams of Avoca, two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Clavon Parker of Bedford and Lisa Owens and Phil Kendall of Orleans, and one sister, Lois Chenault of Springville. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

His parents, four brothers, Homer Williams, Bill Williams, Paul Williams, Lester Williams, and two sisters, Myrtle George and Viola Williams, preceded him in death.

Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
