Carol Euclide Vedra, 70, from Kewaunee, WI, died on Feb. 27, 2015, at her son, Brad Paplham's home after a short one month battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 30, 1944, to the late Vincent and Arlene Euclide. She graduated from Kewaunee High School with the class of 1963. After high school Carol married the late James Paplham, son of Loddie and Maggie Paplham of Kewaunee, WI. Carol divorced and married Gerald (Jerry) Vedra of Wausaukee, WI. Carol and Jerry lived with their family in Wausau, WI, from 1976 - 1994, where Jerry worked as a Social Worker for the Marathon County Health Care Center. Carol was involved in many aspects of Community involvement and Volunteering in Wausau. Carol also worked as a florist at Sorenson's Floral and Evolutions in Design. She also was involved with St. James Catholic Church. In 1994, they moved to Willard, WI and lived happily for almost 20 years, where she was a volunteer firefighter, town clerk and florist then moved to Northfield, MN and ultimately ended up in Princeton, MN until her death. Carol is survived by her husband, Jerry, children, Brad (Linda) Paplham and Nicole (Thomas) Benson, and her 7 grandchildren, John, Luke, Andrew, Amy, Alison, Anika and Ada. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Linda) and Jim (Carol) Euclide, along with nieces and nephews. At Carol's request, her last selfless giving act she donated her body to the University of Minnesota for research; no funeral is scheduled.
