C.B. Hedrick, age 91 of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home.

He was a native of Murphy, North Carolina and the son of the late Claude Burton Hedrick and Mattie Carroll Hedrick. C.B. was a US World War II Disabled Army veteran. He was an operator at the Tennessee Copper Company. C.B. loved fishing, hunting, gardening and his family. He was a member of the Montgomery Lodge 426 A.F. & A. M. over 60 years. C.B. was also a member of the Ranger United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Della, Bertha, Ada, Minnie, Ira, Julie, Elamine, Ruby, Wilford, Wade, Ed, Garland and Plez.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Ruth Evans Hedrick; one son, Jimmy Hedrick and wife Jeanette of Murphy; one daughter, Joanne Davis and husband Sam of Murphy; two grandchildren, Jill Puckett and Laura Clary; four great grandchildren, Carly Puckett, Colt Puckett, Benjamin Clary and Ashley Clary and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Ranger United Methodist Church in Murphy, NC. Rev. Bradley Lisk will officiate. Music will be provided by Rebekah Lisk. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
