Eva Mae Barfield, 74, went to sleep in Jesus on March 17, 2015, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Eva was born and raised in Chaires, Florida; she worked for The State of Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, in her retirement was a caregiver for children and the elderly.
She was a faithful Christian and friend. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Barfield, Sr.; her parents, Cornelius and Kathleen Richardson; a brother, Richard (Dick) Richardson; and her great-grandson, Michael Frauenthal.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 from one o’clock until two in the afternoon at Bevis Funeral Home, 2710 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL., with a service following at Two o’clock. The burial will be immediately afterwards at Oakland Cemetery. Contributions may be flowers or donations to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
