Honorable Judge William J. Mason was a wealthy landowner in Limestone County, Alabama.
He married Martha Ann Bass on April 03, 1825.
He was Worshipful Master of Athens Lodge No. 16 in 1827 and 1828.
He was elected Grand Master of the Alabama Grand Lodge A. F. & A. M. in 1831.
He was Limestone County's Representative to the Alabama Legislature in 1832.
