Juanita June Anderson was born Nov. 26, 1939 to Delbert and Juanita Anderson in the family farm house, southwest of Leedey, Oklahoma in Dewey County
June was a happy blond, blue eyed little girl with A sweet disposition. One of her prize possessions was her doll buggy and baby doll. She loved animals. She even had a pet chicken that followed her around the yard. She loved life.
The family lived on farms around Moorewood until moving to Bremerton, Washington where her parents worked in the Navy Yard until the end of WW II in 1945. The family returned to Moorewood-Leedey area.
It was about this time that her parents noticed her development had slowed down. Doctors told them they thought she had suffered a lack of oxygen at birth that caused brain damage.
In 1951 the family suffered another blow when June’s mother Juanita passed away from aneurysm at age 41. Early 1954 June was placed in Enid State School for handicapped children. It had to be a very difficult time for a little girl that had just lost her mother. She later lived in group home in Kingfisher, Ok and worked at kingfisher work center until she moved to Okarche Center of Family Love, She moved into the newly built Loosen geriatric center. For a while she took care of the plants and had several cats that she dearly loved. It was a happy time for June.
Her health had declined in the last 3 years. She passed away January 22, 2015 at Kingfisher, Ok.
June is proceeded in death by Parents Delbert and Juanita Anderson, Brother Clyde Anderson, nephew Mark Anderson and niece Lynda Ross.
She is survived by Brothers Donnie and wife Janice of Yukon, Brother Carrol and wife Naomi of Moore and host of Nieces and Nephews.
