Mary Jane King, age 87, formerly of 3619 W. Marshall St., Manitowoc died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
The former Mary Jane Sukawaty was born on June 3, 1927 in Kewaskum, daughter of the late Wenzel and Agnes (Meixensperger) Sukawaty. On September 28, 1945 Mary Jane was married to Joseph E. King. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1991. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and a former member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mary Jane enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo at Oneida and she loved flowers.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ann (Roger) Lodel, Manitowoc; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother: Sylvester Sukawaty; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Charlotte (Elmer) Ruplinger; Lucille (Ned) Sells.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
