Services will be conducted at Finefrock Funeral Home, Mansfield, Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Wray C. Smith officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery with military honors conducted by Joint Veterans Council.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7-9 p.m.
He was born in California [incorrect] in 1896 and had been a Mansfield resident since 1937.
He was employed on the police force of Westinghouse Electric Corp. for 20 years, retiring in 1961.
He served in the U.S. Marines for 34 years and was the oldest Marine veteran in Richland County.
He was a member of Westinghouse Veterans Assn., Retman [sic], American Legion Post 16 and VFW Post 3494.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Bender; a son, Ronald Cutter of Ashland; three daughters, Mrs. Hugh B. O'Donnell, Mrs. Robert Watson and Mrs. Lowell Burggraf, all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
