One of Mary Caine's sons was Private Albert Henry CAINE, 1st/10th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment), died 14th September 1918, buried in Conde-sur-L'Escaut Communal Cemetery, France. Son of Thomas and M L Caine, of Baldrine. He is also mentioned on the Lonan Parish War Memorial 1914-1919 in the church.
