Peter was my mother's step brother. He joined the 3rd Battation of the Welsh Regiment at the outbreak of WW1. He was wounded in France and returned to the UK where he died of his wounds. He left behind a wife and three children. Although I never knew Peter my mother spoke of him often and his three daughters became very dear aunties of mine.
