Darlene Durbin, 89, of Evansville, passed away at 5:24 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Good Samaritan Home.
Darlene was born June 15, 1925, in Evansville, the daughter of the late Jack and Goldie (Hawkins) Dilger. She previously attended Calvary Temple Church, where she worked as the receptionist and was a member of Good Shepherd Assembly of God Church. Darlene retired as Director of Operations from Goodwill Industries in 1991 after 20 years of service. She enjoyed volunteering her time and efforts at Holiday Care Center.
She is survived by sons,
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Barney Durbin Jr. in 1995; brother, Warren Dilger; and sisters, Betty Lenn and Inez Martin.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Good Samaritan Home for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Reverend Glyn Pfohl and Pastor Mark Russell officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum, Evansville. Friends may call from 2 until 7 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home and again from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Monday.
