Earl Jasper (E. J.) Brewer of Waynesboro, TN was born January 16, 1932 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Doc Taylor and Oma Mae Smith Brewer. He was united in marriage to on Bessie Mai Jennings on September 8, 1956. Mr. Brewer was a retired bus driver and mechanic. He had worked with the Wayne County Ambulance Service, the Natchez Trace Group Home, Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company and at the Wayne County Bus Garage.

He was a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Brewer departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 1 Month, 24 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Mae Jennings Brewer; a son, Kennie Lane Brewer; a daughter-in-law, Stacey Brewer all of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Brandi Reed and husband, Anthony, Jordan Brewer and wife, Kimberly, Erica Risner and husband, Douglas, Kenneth Brewer and Jacoby Brewer and Amber and Delores Mathis; great-grandchildren, Austin, Lakelyn and Jayden Reed and Lane, Sydnie, Jaylee and Kaiden Brewer; brothers, Bill Brewer of Waynesboro, TN and Bob Brewer of Hohenwald, TN; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a son, Earl Jasper Brewer Jr.; a daughter-in-law; Beth Brewer; a great-grandchild, Gunner Haze Lauderdale; brothers, Hassel, Condred, Elliot, Cranston and Carl Mac (Goody) Brewer; sisters, Cleta Brewer, Christine Lindsey, Alora Selger and Norma Jean Scarentino.

Services will be Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton and Larry Janes officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2087 Lawrenceburg Highway, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.

Pallbearers will be Jason, Jordan, Jacoby, Kenneth and Lane Brewer and Anthony and Austin Reed. Honoray pallbearers will be Garold Jennings, Chad Jennings, Michael Jennings, Jason Jennings, Darrell Jennings, Caisson Martin, Lynus Martin, Ronnie Brewer, and Taylor Brewer
