Ada Helen Hayes, 80, of Seabrook New Hampshire passed away on Saturday January 17, 2015.

Ada was born in Fitchburg MA on February 24, 1934 to her parents Emile and Ada (Andrews) Nourie. She graduated from Fitchburg High School with the class of 1951. Her senior yearbook quote was "What I care for lessons when my heart is in the land of dreams." She married the late John H. Nogowski in 1952 and the late Robert J. Hayes in 1975.

For many years, Ada was an Executive Secretary for the Vice President of Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard MA. Ada adored being a mother and grandmother and cherished her family. She also loved listening to music, tending to her orchids, playing the piano, wearing her favorite color purple, attending Tanglewood and the theatre, watching movies and spending time with friends and loved ones.

Ada is survived by her three children: John F. Nogowski and his wife Elizabeth of Tallahassee Fl., Lisa Dolliver and her husband Todd of Stow MA, and Scott Mitchell and his wife Yolanda of Gilford NH. Ada also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jessica Pearlo and her husband Larry of Hampton Falls NH, Kathleen Nogowski of Nashua NH, Kendra Cantrell and her husband Nick of Worcester MA, James Mitchell and his wife Alizza of Hampton Falls NH, David Nogowski of St. Augustine FL, John Nogowski Jr. of Tallahassee FL, and Molly Hannigan of Palatka FL as well as seven great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. An hour of visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Worcester Health Center, where Ada was lovingly cared for throughout the last year of her life. Please make donations out to Worcester Health Center, with the memo line reading "Resident Activity Fund".
