Born on March 20, 1934, in Burlington, Pa., Joanne was the daughter of the late Merle and Edith (Rogers) Haight. She was a graduate of Troy High School.
Joanne was an outgoing woman who enjoyed people. In addition to being a busy homemaker, Joanne was a former Avon representative and an election inspector for Granville Township. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Alba. Joanne especially enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends. In earlier years she was an avid bowler.
She is survived by Clyde T. Seeley and their children: Denise and Dave Page of Columbia Cross Roads, Greg and Sheryl Seeley of Canton, David and Nancy Seeley of Liberty, and Brigette and Joe Briggs of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Brandon and Denee Page, Benjamin, Bryant and Brady Seeley, Jessica and Kim Seeley, and Amber and Brian Briggs; a brother, M. Duane and Bonnie Haight of Canton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Her family invites friends to call from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Drive, Canton. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor William Shepherd and retired Pastor Jasper Smith officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joanne's name may be made to the Troy Community Hospital's Auxiliary, 100 John St., Troy, Pa. 16947, or to the Ogdensburg Church of Christ, in care of RR 1, Box 168, Roaring Branch, Pa. 17765.
