Obituary:
Funeral services for Charles B. Buck, Sr. will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville. Rev. Bobby Hodnett will officiate the services.
Charles was born on August 8, 1937 in Plaquemine, LA to the late Reginald Norman "Tick" Buck and the late Artie Morgan Buck. A former longtime resident of Ricohoc, Charles has resided in Jackson, LA for the past six years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War on the USS El Dorado. Many will remember Charles from his days running the family cafe, Buck's Caf in Ricohoc. He also worked as a tug boat captain as well as for himself as a commercial fisherman. Charles passed away at the age of 77 on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, LA.
Survivors include two sons, Charles B. Buck, Jr. and Craig Buck and his wife Kristy; two granddaughters, Megan Maas and Allie Buck; two sisters, Loyce Lanclos and Joyce Gauthier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Buck and Harvey Buck.
