He was a cook for St. John's Hospital retiring in 1976 after 20 years of service. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's fan; he enjoyed shoveling snow, mowing grass and playing solitaire.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Brockman ; two brothers, John A. and Lucien C. "LC" Brockman ; and two sisters, Emma L. Fisher and Sarah Barbee.
He is survived by one daughter, Bev (Gary) Camerer of Chatham; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Hanson officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
