Charlene, the cherished and eldest child of Ciriaco and Jessie Bacani, came into the world on November 30, 1940, in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California.

Her educational journey led her to Lowell High School, an esteemed institution nestled on Hayes Street between Ashbury and Masonic Streets in San Francisco. Charlene, displaying her musical talents, graduated in the spring of 1958. Beyond academics, she honed her skills as a pianist and dedicated an impressive 13 years to studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Charlene's life took a significant turn when she married John F. Emler in Reno, Nevada, on October 28, 1958. The couple established their home in San Francisco, raising three children together. This chapter in their lives persisted until 1989, and their divorce was finalized on April 4, 1996.

In a heartwarming twist of fate, Charlene found love again with Bruce Mabel, a fellow colleague at Heidelberg USA in California. Their journey together led them to Kennesaw, Georgia, following a transfer in June 1995. The couple sealed their love in matrimony on September 24, 2005, in Kennesaw, Cobb, Georgia. This union continued until Charlene's passing in April 2006. Charlene life, marked by her musical passion, educational pursuits, and the intertwined threads of love and family, left an enduring legacy that is fondly remembered.
