Ricky Lee Burke, 62, a resident of Panama City, Fla., went to his eternal rest on Saturday, March 21, 2015, ending his courageous battle against cancer.

Ricky was born in Franklin, La., and was a longtime resident of St. Mary Parish and parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista. He moved to Panama City, Fla., in 2006, where he became a parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Ricky was an employee of Schlumberger for 31 years. Ricky's favorite activities were spending time with his family, boating, fishing, reading and relaxing at the beach and barbecuing.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Cindy Boudreaux Burke of Panama City, Fla.; daughter, Cory Saujon of Panama City Beach, Fla.; daughter, Brandy Riggins and husband, Joey Riggins, of Panama City Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Taylor Marie Saujon; grandson, Dylan Nicholas Saujon; granddaughter; Alex Elizabeth Saujon; sister, Mitzi Broussard and husband, Ernest Broussard, of Gibson, La.; sister, Mary Kay Burke of Bayou Vista, La.; and brother, Scott Burke and wife, Cindy Burke, of Centerville, La.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Berlyn and Delores Cobb Burke of Morgan City, La.; and brother, Randy Lee Burke of Bayou Vista, La.

Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, La., will hold visitation for family members from 5-6 p.m. and public visitation until 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, March 25. The rosary prayer will begin at 6 p.m.

Visitation will resume at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Parish Hall on Thursday, March 26, 8:30-10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Centerville, La.

Reception will follow at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Hall in Bayou Vista, La.

2Cor. 5, 1: "For we know that if our earthly dwelling, a tent, should be destroyed, we have a building from God, a dwelling not made with human hands. Eternal in Heaven."
