…and when the late war began was a cadet at West Point. He left there and entered the service of the Confederate States, serving to the close of the war, at one time a lieutenant in the ordinance department. Since that date he has been associated in business with Capt E W Anderson, solicitor of patents. Mr Masi was a young man of a high order of intellect, and was distinguished for his scholarly attainments. His relatives in this city left for Washington by last evening's steamer. … He was buried from St Patrick's church, in this city, and his remains were borne to Mount Olivet cemetery and interred in the family lot.
