He was married to Rosa Lena Stovall for 52 years. For the last 18 years he resided in Bakersfield, CA. On May 22, 2006 David Purefoy entered into eternal life peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his own home. He worked for Lockheed Corporation and retired as a heavy equipment operator for the State of California. He is survived by one sister, Modene of Texas, many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Graveside service will be on Saturday, May 27th, 11:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane. Visitation is scheduled for Friday 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kern County Veterans Inc., 1120 Golden State Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93301.
