JANOT Emma Elnora (Nora) passed away at the Holy Cross Hospital on December 7, 1992 at the age of 81 years.
She is the loving mother of Shirley Hodgins (Lindsay) and son Brian; grandmother of Randy Repas (Colleen) and Laurie (Joe); and great-grandmother of Leah and Joseph. She was predeceased by her son Clayton in December 1945 and her husband August in May 1987.
Emma was born in Enchant, Alberta in 1910. She taught school in Empress and Retlaw, Alberta for many years. She married in 1939 and farmed in Empress before moving to Calgary in 1952. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 264.
The family would like to express their many thanks for the wonderful care Emma received during her stay at the Holy Cross Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at Leyden's "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.) today at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Donald G. Littleiohns officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial tributes may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Holy Cross Hospital, 2210 - 2 Street S.W., Calgary, Alberta T3S 1S6 in memory of Emma Janot or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
