Breaux Bridge – A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for William "Bill" Edward Bliss, 91, who passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:00 am on Saturday at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517.

Mr. Bliss honorably served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was retired as a claims specialist in the insurance industry and was a Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Bill enjoyed good food and as a pastime, he enjoyed watching television, playing Bingo, woodworking, and Trout fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Terry) Guillory of Breaux Bridge; two grandchildren, Shannon (Jamie) Lewis and Tyler (Jennifer) Guillory; and a great grandchild, Jonathan Lewis.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janith Bernice Bliss; his parents, Thomas and Violetine Hammond Bliss; and his sister, Leona Portnoy.
