Mr. James M. (Jim) Agee age 83 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015.  He was born on April 24, 1931.  James, better known as Coach, began his teaching and coaching career in 1963 at LaFollette Junior High.  During his tenure at LaFollette Junior  High, his team won the TN State Tournament. 

In 1966 he went to Jacksboro High School where he coached many successful basketball and football teams until the consolidation of the High Schools in 1976.  Preceded in death by Parents, John and Lillian Wynn Agee, Sisters and their Husbands, Maria and Edmond Faulkner and Carolyn and Jim Myers, Brothers and wives, Jack and Edna Agee, Joe and Jean Agee, and Dr. Robert and Katie Agee.                                                    

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Linda Sharp Agee, Daughter and Husband, Vanessa and Don Jackson; Daughter, Gwen Agee; Grandson and Wife, Matthew and Christine Lay; Granddaughter and Husband, Katie and James Davenport; also three Great Grandchildren, Carly Grace Lay, Mason Agee Lay, and James Richard Davenport III; many nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services and interment Friday 2 P.M. at Jacksboro Cemetery with Dr. Charles Wender officiating.   Friends may call at their convenience from 10 A.M. to 1:30 P.M Friday.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: LaFollette Rescue Squad, 222 Fire Rescue Lane, LaFollette, TN  37766, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN  38101-9908, or Lady Vols Scholarship Fund, P. O.
