Bernice Rickenbrode, 96 of Hope, Kansas passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Medicalodges in Herington. She was born April 2, 1918 in Clifton, Kansas, the daughter of Joe and Teresa (Morgan) Hoffman. On February 22, 1941 she was united in marriage to Cecil “Bud” Rickenbrode in Herington. He preceded her in death August 18, 1967. Bernice worked as an advertising manager for Tatge Chemical Company in Herington.She is survived by her Son Bill Rickenbrode and wife Carol of Hope. Seven Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. One Sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Bud, daughter, Evelyn, son, John and one brother.Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Hope. Burial will follow at the St. Phillips Catholic Cemetery. Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 27 at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Hope. Family will receive friends following. The family suggests memorials in Bernice’s name to be given to the St. Phillips Catholic Church or Hospice of Dickinson County. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, 106 N. 2nd St., Hope, Kansas 67451.
