She was born February 3, 1937 to parents Reid & Florence (Ruhl) Gates in Mansfield. Ruth was graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1956.
On July 16, 1977, she married Walter D. Frazee and together they spent 21 wonderful years until he passed away in May 18, 1998.
Ruth worked at many places including the deli at J & J’s and also at Lawson’s, where she worked as a clerk and was a manager for several years.
In her spare time, she took pleasure in putting together puzzles, bowling, taking care of her cats and going to fairs. Above all others, Ruth would never be known to miss the Richland County Fair. She always found her way there.
She is survived by; her children Carolyn (Buster) Wright of Mansfield, Raymond (Joann) Wolfe of Mansfield, Hope (Joe) Quill of Floral City, Florida and Steve (Tonya) Frazee of Butler; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Paul (Betty) Gates, John Gates and Frank Gates.
In addition to her loving husband Walter D. Frazee, she was preceded in death by her parents Reid & Florence Gates and a great-granddaughter Zhaida.
Although no public service will be held in Ruth’s memory, her family hopes that you will hold her in your heart as you remember her in your own special way.
