Doris (Tonks) Adams, 89, a Westford resident for three decades, died Tuesday, March 23, at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell. She was the wife of Harvey Adams, who died in 1989.

She was born in Somerville on Oct. 21, 1914, a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Greene) Tonks. Mrs. Adams resided in Woburn and Lexington before moving to Westford in 1974.

She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Harvey R. "Bob" Adams, Donald B. Adams and his wife Cindy, and David C. Adams, all of Westford; three grandchildren, Roy Adams of Nashua, Ray Adams of Dracut, and Ronald Adams of Westford; two great-grandchildren, Rebecca Adams of Chelmsford, and Jesse Adams of Nashua; a brother, James Tonks of Woburn; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
