Nellie married Charley J. Shepherd on 05 Jan 1929 in Osceola, Clarke County, Iowa. The couple had three children, Roger, Robert, and Betty Lou. Nellie next married Ace Weatherford on 24 Dec 1950 in Torrance, Los Angeles, CA. This marriage ended with Mr. Weatherford's death in 1960. Nellie subsequently married James Petrie Corbett.

Memorial services for Nellie Corbett of Grass Valley will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cedar Ridge Baptist Church at Colfax Highway and Brunswick Drive.
Mrs. Corbett died Saturday at home. She was 86. She was born March 24, 1911, in Morning Sun, Iowa. She had been a resident of Grass Valley for 48 years. She was a member of the Cedar Ridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Roger Shepherd of Grass Valley and Hal Weatherford of Nevada City; daughter Betty Lima of Los Angeles; brother, Duane Engle of Nevada; one cousin; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and Robert Sperow of Grass Valley.
