EUGENE DARREL GREENSTREET
Eugene D. Greenstreet was born July 14, 1895, the son of James and Martha Greenstreet. He died Oct. 1, 1947 after a short illness in Salem, Illinois. He was 52 years old.
He was married Sept. 17, 1936 to Miss Letha Payton. To this union two sons were born, Willis Eugene and James Franklin.
He is survived by his wife and two sons of the home; one son and two daughters by a former marriage; one half-brother, Ernest Greenstreet of Elmer; one half-sister, Mrs. Willard Clapp of New Mexico; and a host of other relatives and friends. "Gene", as he was known by his friends, resided on his farm a short distance from town until two weeks ago when he went to Salem, Illinois where he had work with a construction company. His family was planning to join him there.
He was a kind and loving husband and father and will be sadly missed in the home and community.
Burial was in the Elmer Cemetery.
