CORINTH – Herman W. Baswell, 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Mission of Hope Church in Alcorn County.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Greater Works Church in Corinth with Bro. James Voyles and Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in Christ Gospel Cemetery in Alcorn County. Coleman-Family Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Annie Hicks and husband, David, and Marsha Fay Richardson, all of Corinth; a son, Randle W. Baswell of Corinth; two sisters, Margie Mason of Glen and Hazel Byrd of Corinth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Morgan Baswell; his parents, Joseph and Dooly Baswell; a son, Lamantie Baswell; a daughter, Sharlett Shouse; a great-grandchild, Corey James Delaughter; four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be at the church beginning at 10 a.m. today and continuing until service time Thursday.
