Jo Ann was born on July 28, 1936 in Pontotoc, Mississippi and passed from this life on March 26, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Springfield, MO. She was 78 years, 8 months, and 28 days of age. Jo Ann worked at brown Shoe in Caruthersville until it closed.

She was of the Baptist belief, loved sewing, reading, painting ceramics, and visiting with friends and family.

She was united in Marriage to Ernest Lloyd White on Feb. 18, 1955 in DeSoto Coubnty, Mississippi. Ernest oreceded her in death on May 18, 2014. She was also preceded by her parents, G.W. and Bessie Mae Graves Carter.

She leaves the following to cherish her memory, her children, son Jerry White (Hayti, MO), daughter Linda Inman and her husband, Ron (Springfield, MO), son, Danny White aand his wife, Terry (Wichita Falls, TX), grandson Jimmy Riggs (Springfield, MO), granddaughter Jessica White and great granddaughter Theryn Light (Wichita Falls, TX), granddaughter Stephanie Inman (Manchester, NH) and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Bro. Doug Wahls officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti. Pallbeares were Mike Thomas, Zack Stevens, Randy Crawford, Thomas Bell, Brian Irions, Michael Bellew, and the Hayti Fire Dept. firefighters.
