Compiler’s Note: Lydia is listed as Elvira Cole on her marriage record. After Lydia died, Willard then married Rachel Money in 1895 according to the 1900 Census of Clark Co., IN. Willard is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Borden, IN. Lydia Coe’s brother was Ike Coe. Children were Clyde, Claude, Pearl and Archie.
Obituary: National Democrat, Jeffersonville, Indiana, 26 Jul 1895, page 4, column 1, reads: Mrs. Willard Akers, a well-known lady, who resided at Borden, died Wednesday. Besides her husband she leaves five small children, one of which is but a few weeks old.
