Roy C Shumway
Services for Roy C. Shumway, 68, o f 1925 S. Franklin Street, will be at 1pm Tuesday at Moore Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill.
Mr. Shumway died Thursday at Porter Sanitarium.
He was born in Loveland, Colorado on July 2, 1888. He moved to Denver when he was 20 and married Hazel B. Klatt here July 23, 1921.
A butcher, Mr. Shumway was a member of Meat Cutters Retail Union local 634 of Denver. He worked for all the large grocery companies in Denver until sickness forced his retirement in 1954.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Miss Mildred Shumway of Pueblo; a son, Kenneth Shumway of Whittier, California; three sisters, Mrs. Blanch, Weavers and Mrs. Ruth Fletchinger of Denver and Mrs. Helen Jackson of Kenilworth, Utah; two brothers, Charles Shumway of Denver and Clyde Shumway of Loveland; and one grandson.
