George W. Trimnell, 83, R.R.1, Waldron, Ind., died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 1991 in the Bartholomew County Hospital, Columbus, Ind.

He was a retired farmer and was born July 21, 1907 in Shelby County, the son of Clarence and Sarah Trimble Trimnell. He was a member of the Geneva United Methodist Church.

On March 13, 1929, he married the former Ollie E. Cooper, and she survives; with one son, Mahlon G. Trimnell, R.R.1, Flat Rock, Ind.; seven brothers, Arthur and Martin Trimnell, both of Hope, Ind., Harold and Clarence Trimnell Jr., both of Columbus, Ind., Ora Trimnell, Lawrenceburg, Ind., Lowell Trimnell, Shelbyville, Ind., and Merle Trimnell, of Edinburgh, Ind.; one sister, Mary Ann Anderson of Ghent, Ky.; one half brother, Ronald Trimnell, Knightstown, Ind.; two half sisters, Marjorie Brammer, Greenfield, Ind., and Nancy Campbell, Hot Springs, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. Hubert Walker and the Rev. Daryl Gressel will conduct the services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Geneva United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in the Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Norman Funeral Home in Hope, Ind., from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church after 1 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may go to the Geneva United Methodist Church or the Lewis Creek Baptist Church.
