Willard Hartman, 85, of Savanna, IL, died at Samaritan.

The funeral will be 2 PM, Monday, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, IL, with the REV R. E. Schoenbohm, Lutheran pastor emeritus, officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 2 PM, Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lower York Cemetery, Thompson, IL, where full military rites will be accorded by the Savanna Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was born October 13, 1910 in Thompson, IL, to Henry Louis and Anna Traum Hartman. He married Cornelia Voss, August 22, 1933 in Fulton, IL.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy.

He had been employed as a mechanic in the Savanna area and a carpenter with the Savanna Army Depot. He was a carpenter for Merle Geisler until his retirement in the early 1970s.

Survivors include his wife of Savanna, IL; two daughters, Cora Mae Stricker of Savanna and Mrs. Sharon Kay (Jerry) Orth of Hanover, IL; four sons, Paul E., Richard A., and William A., all of Savanna, and Kenneth D. of West Columbia, SC; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lucille VenHuizen of Clinton, IA, Mrs. Helen (Ralph) Kramer and Mrs. Louella (John) Garrison, both of Sterling, IL, Mrs. Betty (Albert) Notz of Mt. Carroll, IL, and Mrs. Darlene (William) Voss of Morrison, IL; and seven brothers, Floyd of Clinton, IA, Henry Jr. of Califonia, Arnold, Norman, and Virgil, all of Fulton, IL, and Louvell and Norris, both of Mt. Carroll, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Willard Adam, Jr. and Rex Allen Hartman, and four brothers.
