HOWARD W. CONGRAM

MONTICELLO — Howard W. Congram, 90, Rt. 5, Monticello, died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday in Chase Convalescent Care Center, Logansport, after an extended illness.

He was Lorn Feb. 8, 1897, in Francesville to George and Eva Cowell Congram. He was married in December 1922 to Mary S. Spencer, who died Feb. 23,1964.

He was a retired farmer. He was a World War I U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and White County Historical Society, both of Monticello, and Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Purdue University, and member and past president of the Monticello Kiwanis Club.

Surviving are a son, Spencer, Lafayette, La.; a brother, Warren, Monticello; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
