CONWAY - James Edgar R. Bellar, 42, of Conway, died April 23 at Conway Memorial Hospital.
He was a former Dardanelle resident and was a 22-year veteran in the armed forces. He was promoted to master sergeant in May 1980.
Bellar is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Birl Bellar of Scotland, Ark., formerly of Dardanelle; his wife, Gisela, and three children, Jimmy and Tammy of the home, and Sandra Smith of Lexington, Ky,; four brothers, Birl Bellar Jr. of Cleveland, Ark., Bob Bellar of Visalia, Calif., Johnny Bellar of Fresno, Calif., and Don McQuilliams of Hobbs, N.M.; four sisters, Pat Brantner of Morrilton, Betty Lovelace of Clinton, Joann Jones of Conway, and Shirley Martin of Tulare, Calif.
Funeral services were conducted by the McNutt Funeral Home of Conway Monday, followed by full military graveside services at the Brearly Cemetery at Dardanelle.
