Spry—Mrs. Mary Ellen Slenker, widow of Moses Slenker, died yesterday morning at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Foust, Spry. She was 83 years old.
She is survived by six children: Mrs. Paul Foust, Mrs. Charles Grim, Allen M. Slenker, all of Spry; Clarence E. Slenker, St. Louis; Mrs. Allen Keiser, York, and Mrs. Harry Lentz, Harrisburg; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Beaverson, York, R.D. and a brother, Philip Miller, York.
Mrs. Slenker was a member of the Spry United Brethren church and Sunday school. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the Purd A. Reidel Funeral home, Dallastown. The Rev. B. D. Rojahn will officiate. Interment will be in Spry United Brethren cemetery.
