Wayne F. Meyer, age 72, of 11503 County R, Whitelaw, passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 10, 2012.
Wayne was born on May 21, 1939, in Grimms, son of the late Theodore and Ella (Collins) Meyer. He attended schools in Reedsville. Wayne married the former Diane Gilbert on March 3, 1962 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Wayne drove semi over the road for 38 years at Packerland Transport of Green Bay, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his two grandchildren. .
Survivors include his wife: Diane Meyer, rural Francis Creek; two daughters and sons-in-law: Michele (Alan) Schuwerk, Seattle, WA; Marla (Mike) Freeck, Milwaukee; two grandchildren: Megan and Lauren Freeck, both of Milwaukee; one sister: Shirley Blahnik, Kellnersville; two sisters-in-law: Pat Meyer, Grimms; June Meyer, Dixon, IL. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore and Ella Meyer; his daughter: Marsha Meyer; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Robert Meyer; Harold (Pat) Meyer; Theodore (June) Meyer; two sisters and three brothers-in-law: LaVerne (Richard) Grall; Catherine (Andy) Anderson; Edward Blahnik; two nieces: Terry Ellen and Cheryl.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, 1500 Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the chapel on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
